The AGM (6.45–7.30pm) will formally present a report on our work during the 2021/22 financial year, elect a committee and give an overview of the work of Lapidus Scotland.
We are looking for new members of the management committee, so please consider this chance to get involved with our work. The committee meets about eight times each year. All recent meetings have been held online.
The Annual Report and Annual Accounts for 2021/22 are both available on our website.
The AGM will be followed by a poetry reading featuring Jim Carruth, Naomi Shihab Nye (joining us online from Texas), and members of Lapidus Scotland writing groups including Karina Vidler and Pat Sutherland.
Jim Carruth is an award-winning poet, editor and awards and events programmer. He is the co-founder and current chair of St Mungo’s Mirrorball. In 2014, he became Glasgow’s Poet Laureate. Much of Jim’s work focuses on our relationship with nature and in particular the experiences of those who work the land. Far Field, his most recent poetry collection, comes out in March 2023 and is the final part of the Auchensale trilogy.
