Alec Finlay is a poet and artist whose work crosses over a range of media and forms. Born in Scotland in 1966 and currently based in Edinburgh, much of Finlay’s work reflects on our interaction with nature and considers how we relate to landscape. He also works in the fields of healing, creative recuperation, and patient-led medicine. Recent projects include a patient-led description of ME, descriptions, and a book of memories of the pandemic and lost loved ones, I remember (Stewed Rhubarb), produced as part of Scotland’s Covid Memorial. Alec has ME and Long Covid; he is currently working on an innovative disability access project with Lapidus Scotland, Day of Access.
