Lesley is a retired GP, still active in medical education and medical humanities. She deviated into public health for a while but missed listening, and responding to, people’s stories so returned to general practice. She is co-editor of Tools of the Trade, the little book of poetry for new doctors published by the Scottish Poetry Library, gifted to all Scottish medical graduates and intended as a friend and a catalyst for creativity. A member of the movement to make the links between climate change and health, she has three (big) children who are also, in their own ways, engaged in climate and wellbeing work.
