Steps Spark our Words is a new publication from Lapidus Scotland, launched at the reading after our AGM 2023 held in Glasgow on 15 March.
During the ongoing Covid pandemic, Lapidus Scotland hosted a series of outdoor events in parks and green spaces throughout Glasgow, including Linn Park, Gartnavel Hospital grounds, Glasgow Green, and the Cuningar Loop. These were led by Glasgow writers: Juana Adcock, Lesley O’Brien, Sukhema (Larry Butler) Brian Whittingham, and Christie Williamson. The aim was to get folk out and about walking, writing, talking, taking photos and connecting with the world outside four walls.
Steps Spark Our Words brings together some of the fruits of these walks.
The book is dedicated to the memory of Mairi Jack, Leela Soma and Brian Whittingham.
